A monthly series co-presented by Oakland’s Sound Room, The Singer’s Lounge is a new series that grew out of the backyard hangout sing-a-longs thrown by some of the Bay Area’s most accomplished vocalists. Hosted by versatile singer Lilan Kane, every Singer’s Lounge will feature four different vocalists doing what they do best – Belting! Whether solo, or as duo’s or coming together in harmony as a group. Each Lounge will be a unique experience – A journey through the jazz singers craft.

REBEL
Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Tre Edwards (REBEL) attended and graduated from the Oakland school of the Arts. After attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rebel toured Europe with Alissia Beniveste and the Funketeers. Rebel also served as the musical director for the Harlem Gospel Choir European Winter Tour, 2016. Now a touring member of the San Francisco based Michael Jackson Tribute band, FORVERLAND, Rebel is pursuing a solo career, releasing quality music that is out the box and edgy. In 2017, Rebel released an inaugural, digital EP entitled “I AM REBEL”. This EP spreads an important message; Your past experiences do not define you, but from them you can learn and develop the zeal to pursue any and all of your heart’s desires, and to be the best “you” that you can be.
ADESHA
Born in San Francisco, and raised in Oakland, Adesha has been singing all her life. From starring in plays and musicals since the age of 4, all through high school, to majoring in theater, the stage has been Adesha’s home. She’s opened for Case, Jazmine Sullivan, Carl Thomas, Anthony David, and sang lead female vocals on a Billboard-charted song. Adesha just released her single “Just Groove”.
ARIEL B.
Ariel B has seen success on the local San Francisco music scene. She expanded her horizons in classical music while attending The Ruth Asawa School Of The Arts High School in San Francisco. She sings in Italian, French, and German. She also sings at several clubs in the Bay Area doing covers and her own songs. Ariel has previously worked with famed producer, Narada Michael Waldon. Narada has produced the greats – Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey are among this celebrated group.
Her latest release finds Ariel B. set to make a winter splash with her first holiday collection, featuring “ Candy Coated Love”, an original song co-written by Ariel B and Troy Laureta (Ariana Grande) and produced by Grammy winning producer, Jeffrey Weber.

LILAN KANE
Oakland-based soul singer and composer Lilan Kane (LEE – lawn) is authentic, on and off stage. The sultry honesty in her voice is as raw as her lyrical stories of love, life and self-discovery. A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Kane has sold out numerous residencies at Yoshi’s Oakland and SFJAZZ as well as performances at Minton’s Playhouse (NYC), Chris’s Jazz Cafe (Philly), French Quarter Festival (New Orleans), Concord Pavillion, The Mint (LA), Fillmore Jazz Festival and many others.
Her songs have been featured on KCSM, WGBO, Jazziz.com, Soulandjazz.com, Soultracks.com, Thisisrnb.com and others. Kane has sung with Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra, and opened for Hall & Oates, Lenny Williams, Freddie Hughes, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Sharon Jones, Trombone Shorty, and Morgan James.
